This album was created in the midst of the pandemic. The lockdowns of the past three years made it impossible in many places to make music at all. They forced all of us to withdraw, to turn inward. For musicians, it even meant questioning their very existence.

But meanwhile, the world didn't stand still. Life went on, presenting us with new challenges. We had children! It made us question even more intensely what it means to be a woman, to become a mother, to remain an artist in this society, here and now.

That's the situation in which we embarked on the work for our album.

Art is born from within, but it's not just introspection. Art is expression – especially music. It shares emotions and connects us in this way. Even more so when the whole world seems to be falling apart...

For this album, we have rewritten numerous pieces. We're experimenting with new styles, influences, and instruments. We're asking questions about femininity and society, about pain, strength, and hope. We have invited numerous guest musicians to record the new pieces with us. We have sought collaboration wherever possible to give our musical visions even greater intensity, but also to keep our small scene, our craft, our art alive and support each other.

"Von innen nach außen" (From the Inside Out) is the pearl we have collectively produced. It is born from a challenging time. But we hope that this album, this music, is also the beginning of something new and beautiful!
